NT Partners with Boonwattana School to Showcase Smart Agriculture Learning Hub Powered by IoT and AI Systems
National Telecom Public Company Limited collaborated with Boonwattana School in Nakhon Ratchasima Province to host the NT Smart Farmer Smart School showcase, presenting operational outcomes achieved under the 2026 NT Youth Club initiative. The public event was presided over by the deputy provincial governor alongside executive board members from the telecommunications state enterprise.
The initiative deploys broadband internet connectivity, Internet of Things sensors, artificial intelligence algorithms, and closed-circuit television networks to manage agricultural data and monitor environmental conditions systematically across demonstration plots. The setup functions as an educational facility where students, faculty, and surrounding community residents receive instruction on applying digital tools to local agricultural workflows.
Project development is structured across three execution phases. The first phase focused on land survey work and physical upgrades within royal-initiated demonstration farming areas, encompassing the construction of hydroponic greenhouses, mushroom cultivation units, and auxiliary farming infrastructure. The second phase organized harvest and distribution logistics, directing produce into local educational institutions, partner agencies, and surrounding community markets. The third phase established educational coursework teaching attendees how to deploy microclimate sensor nodes that monitor temperature and relative humidity.
The enterprise sustainability committee chairperson stated that the operator aims for the setup to serve as an operational benchmark for technological adoption within educational institutions and municipal villages, noting that field collaboration with the school and surrounding communities will continue post-showcase to maintain technical self-reliance across human, economic, and environmental fronts.
