NT แจง nexConnect ราคาเริ่มต้น 9,200 บาทต่อเดือนเป็นบริการดาวเทียม LEO สำหรับองค์กร พร้อมเปิด Rural Wi-Fi ปลายปี 2569 และแพ็กประชาชนต้นปี 2570
NT ชี้แจงกรณีค่าบริการ NT nexConnect เดือนละ 9,200 บาท ซึ่งถูกนำไปเปรียบเทียบกับบริการอินเทอร์เน็ตดาวเทียมวงโคจรต่ำสำหรับผู้บริโภคในประเทศเพื่อนบ้านราคา 1,440 บาทต่อเดือน โดยระบุว่าบริการทั้งสองมีรูปแบบ กลุ่มเป้าหมาย วัตถุประสงค์ และเงื่อนไขแพ็กเกจแตกต่างกัน
แพ็กเกจ NT nexConnect ที่ปรากฏในการเปรียบเทียบมีค่าบริการเริ่มต้น 9,200 บาทต่อเดือน ไม่รวมภาษีมูลค่าเพิ่ม ออกแบบสำหรับลูกค้าองค์กร หน่วยงานภาครัฐ ภาคธุรกิจ อุตสาหกรรม และภารกิจเฉพาะทาง จึงไม่ควรนำเฉพาะค่าบริการรายเดือนไปเปรียบเทียบโดยตรงกับแพ็กเกจสำหรับผู้บริโภคทั่วไป
NT ระบุว่า การประเมินความคุ้มค่าของอินเทอร์เน็ตดาวเทียมควรพิจารณาร่วมกันทั้งพื้นที่ให้บริการ ความเร็ว ปริมาณข้อมูล อุปกรณ์ รูปแบบการเชื่อมต่อ กลุ่มผู้ใช้ ตลอดจนเงื่อนไขและบริการที่รวมอยู่ในแต่ละแพ็กเกจ
NT nexConnect ใช้โครงข่ายดาวเทียม LEO ของ Eutelsat OneWeb โดย NT เป็นตัวแทนผู้ให้บริการอย่างเป็นทางการในประเทศไทย รองรับการเชื่อมต่อทั้งพื้นที่ภาคพื้นดินและพื้นที่ทางทะเล โดยเฉพาะพื้นที่ห่างไกล จุดอับสัญญาณ หรือจุดที่การติดตั้งโครงข่ายภาคพื้นดินทำได้ยาก
บริการดังกล่าวเชื่อมต่อผ่าน Satellite Network Portal Gateway ที่ตั้งอยู่ในประเทศไทย เพื่อบริหารจัดการการเชื่อมต่อระหว่างโครงข่ายดาวเทียม LEO และโครงข่ายภาคพื้นดิน รองรับข้อกำหนดขององค์กรด้าน Cybersecurity, Data Governance, Data Sovereignty และ Network Security
นอกจากการเชื่อมต่อสำหรับองค์กรแล้ว ระบบยังสามารถประยุกต์ใช้กับภารกิจในพื้นที่เฉพาะทาง การปฏิบัติงานทางทะเล และการสื่อสารในสถานการณ์ฉุกเฉิน ซึ่งต้องการความต่อเนื่องและความมั่นคงปลอดภัยของข้อมูล
สำหรับตลาดผู้บริโภค NT เตรียมเปิดแพ็กเกจอินเทอร์เน็ตผ่านดาวเทียมสำหรับประชาชนทั่วไปในช่วงต้นปี 2570 เพื่อเพิ่มทางเลือกให้ผู้ใช้งานในพื้นที่ห่างไกลหรือบริเวณที่โครงข่ายภาคพื้นดินมีข้อจำกัด
ก่อนหน้านั้น NT มีแผนเปิดบริการ NT Rural Wi-Fi ภายในไตรมาส 4 ปี 2569 โดยให้ประชาชนในหมู่บ้านพื้นที่ห่างไกลซื้อคูปองใช้งาน Wi-Fi เป็นรายชั่วโมง เพื่อขยายโอกาสเข้าถึงอินเทอร์เน็ตระหว่างรอแพ็กเกจสำหรับผู้บริโภคเปิดให้บริการอย่างเป็นทางการ
NT Clarifies THB9,200 nexConnect Pricing, Plans Consumer Satellite Package for Early 2027
NT has clarified that the THB9,200 monthly fee for NT nexConnect applies to an enterprise-focused service, following comparisons with a THB1,440 consumer satellite internet package offered in a neighbouring country.
The published NT nexConnect package starts at THB9,200 per month, excluding VAT. It is designed for enterprises, government agencies, industrial users and specialised operations, with a different service model, target audience, intended use and package conditions from consumer satellite broadband.
NT said satellite internet services should be evaluated across multiple factors, including coverage, speed, data allowance, equipment, connection model, user segment and the additional services included in each package. Comparing monthly prices alone may therefore present an incomplete picture.
NT nexConnect uses Eutelsat OneWeb’s low Earth orbit satellite network, with NT serving as the official service provider in Thailand. It supports both land and maritime connectivity, particularly in remote locations, coverage blind spots and areas where terrestrial network deployment is difficult.
The service connects through a Satellite Network Portal Gateway located in Thailand, managing data traffic between the LEO satellite network and terrestrial infrastructure. This architecture is intended to support enterprise requirements covering cybersecurity, data governance, data sovereignty and network security.
NT nexConnect can also support specialised field operations, maritime connectivity and emergency communications that require service continuity and secure data transmission.
For the consumer market, NT plans to introduce a satellite internet package for the general public in early 2027. The service will target people in remote communities and locations where terrestrial networks remain limited.
NT will first introduce NT Rural Wi-Fi in the fourth quarter of 2026. The service will offer hourly Wi-Fi access through prepaid coupons, giving people in remote villages an additional way to connect before the consumer satellite package becomes available.
