Grab Quick Cash to expand nationwide with a THB 30,000 maximum loan and nine-month repayment term

Grab plans to expand Grab Quick Cash nationwide in the third quarter of 2026 following a four-month pilot in Bangkok and surrounding areas. The company will increase the maximum loan amount from THB 20,000 to THB 30,000 and extend the maximum repayment term from six to nine months, with Chonburi, Khon Kaen and Chiang Mai among its initial focus areas.

Launched on a trial basis in April, Grab Quick Cash was initially offered with a maximum loan amount of THB 20,000 and a repayment term of up to six months. Grab said the application requires no supporting documents and can be completed entirely through its app.

User data from the pilot period showed that more than 80% of borrowers selected an amount below their offered limit. The average amount borrowed was approximately 70% of the offer, while nearly half borrowed no more than THB 15,000.

Almost 70% of users selected a five- or six-month repayment plan, with average monthly payments ranging from approximately THB 2,400 to THB 2,500. More than 60% of borrowers were working adults aged 30–45, followed by users aged 46 and above and First Jobbers aged 20–29.

More than 70% of users in the 30–45 and Gen X segments used the funds for daily working capital, business expansion or emergency expenses. First Jobbers primarily used the loans as initial capital to purchase work equipment and generate income.

Purat Ongsri, Assistant Managing Director for Financial Services at Grab Thailand, said the service allows users to apply without supporting documents, receive a quick approval decision and complete the process digitally through the Grab app. The company plans to use insights from the pilot to further develop its products and service systems.
