MSC Identifies Three Enterprise Technology Priorities for 2027: Agentic AI, Post-Quantum Security and AI Factories
MSC has outlined three major enterprise technology priorities for 2027 – Data and AI, Cybersecurity and Infrastructure – as businesses prepare for agentic operations, post-quantum threats and the growing computing demands of artificial intelligence.
The themes were presented at Metro FutureTech Summit 2027, held on 5 August 2026 under the concept “One Event. Complete Enterprise Technology.” The event connected the economic outlook for Thailand and global markets with the technology investments enterprises may need to make over the coming year.
Within Data and AI, the focus was on building an Agentic Enterprise in which AI agents collaborate through a Multi-Agent Mesh. Ontology can provide structured relationships between data and business processes, enabling software to plan and execute more tasks autonomously.
The Cybersecurity track addressed preparations for Post-Quantum Cybersecurity, alongside the protection of AI systems and the use of automated technologies to detect and respond to threats at machine speed.
Infrastructure discussions focused on developing AI Factories for AI workloads, connecting environments through Hybrid Integration and managing Autonomous Infrastructure. AIOps and FinOps were positioned as tools for controlling system performance, resource utilisation and technology costs.
The programme also connected technology developments with economic and leadership issues. Dr Wit Sittivaekin discussed risks and opportunities across the global, Asian and Thai economies, while Chansin Treenuchagron shared leadership perspectives on navigating change in the AI era. Chaiwat Likitjanyakul of MSC presented the next wave of digital transformation.
MSC also brought together enterprise solutions from global technology partners including IBM, Cisco, Huawei, Palo Alto Networks, Cloudflare, AWS, HPE, Fortinet, Datadog, Veeam and Qlik, covering data, AI, cybersecurity, cloud and enterprise infrastructure.
