Samsung Wallet Integrates Rabbit Virtual Card for Bangkok Transit Taps and Introduces 20 Baht Flat Fare Cashback
Samsung has updated its Samsung Wallet application in Thailand to support Rabbit Virtual Card integration, allowing owners of compatible Samsung Galaxy smartphones to pay for public transit services using contactless Tap and Go technology. The mobile ticketing functionality operates across the BTS Green and Gold lines, MRT Pink and Yellow lines, the Bangkok BRT bus network, and Chao Phraya Express Boat passenger piers. Passengers can complete gate transactions without waking the handset display, entering security passcodes, or having active battery power.
The hardware maker scheduled a promotional cashback campaign running from November 1 to December 31, 2026, offering a capped 20 baht flat fare on designated rail transit lines. The offer covers the BTS Green Line, Gold Line, and MRT Yellow and Pink monorail routes for the first 10,000 enrolled cards, limited to two redemption rights per user. Commuters must initially pay standard transit fares at the turnstiles, after which the calculated monetary difference above 20 baht is credited back to the linked Rabbit Wallet account on the day following travel.
Enrolment begins on November 1, 2026, accessible by sending an SMS containing the keyword SAVE followed by the 13-digit virtual card number to 4694100 at 3 baht per transmission, or by submitting the same data free of carrier charge through the official Samsung Thailand LINE account.
The Rabbit Virtual Card setup incurs no initial card creation fees and is accepted across 11 designated Chao Phraya automated ticketing kiosks and partnered retail checkouts. Transit connectivity is scheduled to expand to the MRT Purple, Blue, and SRT Red lines, Airport Rail Link, and BMTA city buses before the end of 2026.
Supported devices require One UI 8.0 or Android 16 and above. Compatible models span recent foldable devices from the Galaxy Z Fold4 and Galaxy Z Flip4 series through newer generations, Galaxy S series devices starting from the Galaxy S21 FE up to the Galaxy S26 Ultra, and select Galaxy A series models comprising the Galaxy A36 5G, A37 5G, A56 5G, and A57 5G.
