AIS เตรียมความพร้อมโครงข่ายสื่อสารในพื้นที่ภาคใต้ รองรับสถานการณ์น้ำท่วม พร้อมทีมวิศวกรติดตามสถานการณ์และตรวจสอบความพร้อมของสถานีฐานในพื้นที่เสี่ยง รวมถึงเตรียมรถสถานีฐานเคลื่อนที่ เครื่องปั่นไฟ และอุปกรณ์สนับสนุน เพื่อดูแลการสื่อสารให้ประชาชนสามารถติดต่อครอบครัว ติดตามข่าวสาร และประสานขอความช่วยเหลือได้อย่างต่อเนื่อง
ที่ผ่านมา AIS ได้เสริมความแข็งแกร่งของโครงข่ายในพื้นที่ภาคใต้ โดยปรับปรุงฐานวางตู้ระบบสถานีฐานในพื้นที่เสี่ยงให้มีความสูง 3 เมตร เพื่อลดความเสี่ยงที่น้ำจะเข้าท่วมและสร้างความเสียหายต่ออุปกรณ์ พร้อมเพิ่มแบตเตอรี่สำรองไฟฟ้าตามสถานีฐานสำคัญ รวมถึงยกระดับฐานวางเครื่องปั่นไฟและติดตั้งจุดเชื่อมต่อเครื่องปั่นไฟฉุกเฉิน เพื่อรองรับกรณีไฟฟ้าดับหรือมีการตัดกระแสไฟฟ้าในพื้นที่น้ำท่วมเพื่อความปลอดภัยของประชาชน

AIS Prepares Southern Network for Flooding with Raised Equipment Platforms and Additional Backup Power
AIS is preparing its communications network in southern Thailand for flooding, following infrastructure improvements that include raising base station equipment platforms in at-risk areas to a height of 3 metres. The measures aim to reduce flood damage to equipment and support communications during power outages.
The company has added backup batteries at key base stations, raised generator platforms and installed connection points for emergency generators. These preparations are intended to support operations if electricity supplies fail or are disconnected in flooded areas for public safety.
AIS has engineers monitoring conditions and checking base station readiness in at-risk locations. Mobile base stations, generators and supporting equipment are also being prepared to help people contact their families, follow news and coordinate requests for assistance.
Network support and additional coverage will be deployed according to conditions, with priority given to communities, hospitals and public assistance coordination points. AIS is coordinating with relevant agencies to plan appropriate and safe access to affected areas.
